3) Walk everywhere you can. Park farther away at the store. Don’t take elevators or escalators if you can avoid them. Walk up stairs.

These are the three fastest ways to lose weight that I know. By just following these 3 easy steps outlined above you’ll be able to lose the weight quickly and build yourself a solid foundation for you weight loss goals.

Remember, with any change in your diet or exercise routines you need to make sure you consult with a doctor, especially if you supplement your weight loss plans with any supplements.

When you have decided that losing weight is what you want to do you have to make a commitment. Commit to a healthier lifestyle and yourself. 1. You can push your metabolism into overdrive by drinking more water, going for a 10 minute brisk walk twice a day or going for a 20 minute bike ride.

2. Eat smaller portions more frequently throughout the day. Instead of eating 3 large meals a day you should eat 4 or 5 small meals instead.

3. Although it is important to watch the number of calories you consume daily, you should also take note of the source for the calories. For example, are the calories coming from a well balanced meal or a piece of birthday cake.

4. Set goals that you can achieve realistically. This is a very common mistake among people trying to lose weight. Goals are set that can not be met and cause the person to feel disappointed in themselves and lose motivation.

5. When you reach a plateau in your weight loss, do not be discouraged. Change your exercise routine around a little. This generally will confuse the metabolism and basically turn the switch back on!

6. Keep the meals you prepare colorful! Add more fresh fruits and vegetables to your meals. For example, you can have a 5 oz piece of steak with a medium baked potato (add salsa instead of butter) and steamed carrots with a bit of honey drizzled on them. Viola, you have colorful, full of flavor and healthy too!

7. You knew this next one was coming. You need to exercise to lose weight. Although you do not have to spend hours a day working out. You can start out slow and work you way into a high impact vigorous workout. But, you have to be consistent in your workout. If yesterday you walked briskly for 20 minutes, today you should walk a little faster for about 25 minutes.

8. Stretch your muscles everyday. This doesn’t have to be very time consuming, only about 10 minutes a day.

These are all pretty simple ways for you to increase your metabolism and begin feeling healthier. You should be proud of yourself for taking the first step towards a healthier and happier person. If you find yourself desperate to lose weight quickly there is no doubt you have seen the infomercials all over television, the diet pills lined up in the store, and the piles of books all promising that anyone desperate to lose weight quickly can obtain the body of their dreams for just a few bucks.

If you are desperate to lose weight quickly and do not care if the weight comes back later on, then by all means go for a quick starvation diet or pop a few pills to get what you want in the short term. But if you are desperate to lose weight quickly and actually expect to keep it off for the rest of your life and actually care about the overall health of your body, then do not let them lie to you!

Those desperate to lose weight quickly must realize that there is a difference between super fast temporary weight loss, and quick permanent weight loss.

The fact is, there are many diet plans, pills, and exercise contraptions that promise people desperate to lose weight quickly with minimum to no effort required. Take the fad diets that require you to cut out carbs, or limit them to almost nothing. It does sound simple, right? Just do not eat any of the foods they say are as bad for you, and weight loss will follow. But what happens after a couple days, maybe a week or two, of following their guidelines? Often, people desperate to lose weight quickly go on these diet plans and when they end up eating everything they have been denied in one final binge they blame themselves. But they should not! These plans are simply not sustainable for the long run; it does not matter how strong you think you are, it will not work forever.
