You don’t need ab workouts! Instead of doing real exercises to try and strengthen yourself the old-fashioned way, check out these 5, totally-viable, completely-not-ridiculous ways to replace them for good.

#5 No One Cares About Lean Abs in 2010.

What, you didn’t hear about it? Yeah, no one is really doing those ab workouts anymore, because no one really gives a crap about lean, nice abs. It’s all about belly flab nowadays — rockin’ that beer belly is the surest way to self-confidence and romantic success. Maybe we’ll bring back the lean, toned look one day, but for now, eat on!

#4 Your Body Will Conveniently Hide Fat For You.

Sure we were just chatting about beer bellies before, but really, they aren’t a big deal, because your body has this amazing system in place — when you eat too much and develop some fat, your body just shuffles that extra flab over to some hidden little area that no one can see, like on your back somewhere. You’ll never look big to anyone!

#3 Beaches? What Beaches?

Aren’t beaches all polluted and stuff now? And global warming is making summers all crazy and unpredictable? If you combine that with a few other factors (I’ll get back to you on what those are once I think of them), you’ll see that a nicely toned body thanks to a few ab workouts isn’t really necessary at the beach, as most of the world’s beaches are empty year-round.

#2 Buy One Of Those Electrode-Based Machines.

There’s a reason there are all those infomercials on TV selling those pulsating weird machines that you hook up to your abs. It’s because they work so wonderfully well! Just apply the gel, attach the electrodes, plug in the machine, turn it on, and watch the pounds loudly, automatically, magically melt away! I swear, it really…. works!

#1 Aren’t Diet Pills Just the Best?

Hey, diet pills have always worked, right? No one has ever gotten addicted to them, realized half of them are just sugar pills, or that the other half of them are wonderfully dangerous for your bodies and your health? Nah, no way! Pop those dangerous pills and bid “adieu” to those annoying crunches, right?

If, for whatever reason, you’re still stuck in the dark ages and actually want to do a great abs workout to get a lean, toned body the “old fashioned” way, Zuzana’s workout videos at Bodyrock.TV will take you through it in the best way possible.

You probably know that it is important to drink adequate water. A minimum of 8 glasses of water a day is suggested. This is a number to strive for to improve your health and well being. You should aim for more if it is genuinely hot, or you are sweating a lot and working out. Getting enough water in your body will keep you from getting dehydrated.

According to WEB-MD the early signs of dehydration are increased thirst, sticky saliva and xerostomia, and reduced urine output with dark yellow urine. You may also experience head ache and a lack of energy. None of these sound very amusing. I know it is hard sometimes to drink that much water; particularly when sodas and coffee tempt us. However, to stay healthy and feel eager, we should strive to drink those eight glasses of water a day.

Observe your water intake to meet your minimal water intake goals. This can be as simple as a small piece of paper on the fridge, or a page in your day planner. Just make a little checkmark, or dash on the piece of paper every time you drink a glass of water. The log will help you keep track of how much water you have had in any given day. You’ll also be surprised how motivating it is to try to get those eight little checkmarks on there every day. Another idea would be to use little stickers instead.

Add Some Lemon Juice to your water will add a small zip to the taste. I tend to get bored with drinking just water after a few days. Change things up and add a little flavor by adding a teaspoon or less of lemon to your water. You can also try some other fruit juices. Just make sure enough you are still drinking mainly water. Just a splash of juice should be enough to make things interesting and give the water some flavor without adding too much sugar and calories.

Try to also drink some carbonated water if you are looking for some frothiness. If you are craving the fizz of a soda, try some Club Soda. Most brands have a bit too much sparkle for me. I finish up watering them down with – guess what – water. Whenever you want to get really fancy, check your local grocery for flavored club sodas. As an alternative, you can also add a splash of fruit crush to your watered down club soda.

Try on drinking water when you feel hungry. This trick will not only help with fluid levels, it will also help with weight control. Unluckily, many of us have gotten so out of tune with our bodies that we feel hungry when we are actually thirsty. If you feel hungry, try drinking a glass of water first. You may just be thirsty.

Take a water bottle is an excellent habit to practice and promote. It is much easier to drink water when you induce it and readily available. Pack a bottle of water around with you in the car, at work, while running errands, in the yard, and even while you are working around the house. You’ll be sipping away the water without even noticing it.

Produce a point you drink a few extra glasses of water if you exercise, or if you spend some time outside while it’s hot. Your body uses and needs more water when it sweats a lot. So do not forget to fill back up on water during and after your exercise. Just devote attention to how much you drink and implement some of these ideas if you don’t get the recommended eight glasses of water a day. Your body will appreciate you for it in the long run.

Fitness skilled and Author Ethan O. Tanner explains the different process of how to properly care for water therapy and the guidelines for health and fitness for water techniques in staying healthy.

Now, why do you think these people join a gym and why do others do not ever consider joining a gym? Here are some of the advantages and disadvantages of joining a gym.

Benefits of joining a gym:

In gym, you have the access on superior quality equipments than what you can’t afford. There are a lot of kinds of dumbbells, barbells, cardio machines, weight lifting machines, and other equipments essential for your work out. Other gyms have provisions for pools, basketball courts, and other areas for sports activities. These will prevent you from getting bored of doing the same routine everyday. Because of the availability of facilities for different exercises, you can execute a lot of exercise for your routine.

In gym, there are available trainers, staffs, and other members that you can consult regarding your activities. Professional people such as dieticians, gym instructors, physical therapist, yoga instructors, bodybuilders, and aerobic teachers are available in gym. You can consult these people on how to exercise properly, use the equipment correctly, and have a healthy diet suitable to your training.

It is better to join a gym than to make a gym at your private home. Equipments for a gym are too expensive that will cost you a bigger deal of money. So make sure that the gym is not too far from your office or home.

Drawbacks of joining a gym:

The first disadvantage of a gym is having a lot of expenses. Apart from membership fee, there is also a regular fee. If you hire a personal trainer, most probably there will be an additional charge. Other gyms also bill for parking lots and use of locker rooms.

Then there is an issue of time and distance. You will have to need a spare time and effort just to travel to go to a gym.

There is also a question on the availability of the equipments. If there are a number of people in a gym, there might be rivalry in utilising some equipments.

Learn a gym where you can change your health and physical fitness.
