Whatever your reasons for wanting or needing to lose some weight, it really pays to do some research into the physical processes that are going on inside your body that will make that happen for you as long as you follow certain methods. That’s because at a basic physical level, weight loss will occur when certain criteria are met in the average person’s body. Of course, there is pretty much no such thing as a truly “average” person, so there will always be some differences in what will work for one person and what will not work for another. Let’s take a look at what you can work with to at least improve the chances of success across as a wide a spectrum of different people as possible

Setting the many physical, lifestyle and character differences aside, losing weight for most people is relatively straight forward. There needs to be just a few tweaks in the details to make it work better for you personally. This is something that you can work with a personal nutritionist or dietitian, or a personal trainer to iron out the process. But the basics of weight loss will still hold true if you don’t have access to these options and these basics will give you a real head start in your own journey to lose the amount of weight you want to lose.

The popular starting point for most people is in altering their diet to reduce calorie intake and include more healthy and nutritious foods to improve overall health. This is the best way to get started, but because of the way the body is made up, there needs to be a complimentary action to really help things along. That action is exercise.

Regular exercise, when combined with a healthy diet is absolutely the right combination to not only help you to lose weight but also to tone up loose and flabby muscles and work towards a more slender, fit and great looking body. This is because while you reduce the calories you are ingesting through a better diet, the increase in exercise forces your muscles to burn more energy at the same time, resulting in the reduction in stored body fat as your body must provide those muscles with the energy they need to do the work. That energy is all measured in calories so we can more easily understand the process and gauge what we are taking in against what we are using up.

The end result of course is not just a reduction in weight, but resulting toning up of the body means you’ll fit into a small size of clothing while looking great in those clothes. This, after all is the reason you are doing this in the first place!

Weight training is an ideal means of shaping parts of the body. Weight training can help you build muscle and get in shape. If you are trying to lose weight, training is a very effective way to do so. Even if you are new to lifting weights and have never done so before you can still workout with weights.

The most important thing initially is to start slowly. Don’t go for big weights. A small woman should aim to work with weights that are no heavier than five to ten pounds. Weights that are larger can lead to serious strain in muscle tone. Smaller weights allow you to get comfortable with the weights initially. After that you can think about moving on.

Men should also aim for smaller weights initially. While men have greater upper body strength than women do, men may still strain their muscles if they work them too hard. Aim for weights that allow you to work slowly. Men with smaller frames can start out with weights that are five to ten pounds as well. Taller men with larger builds can aim for larger weights initially such as fifteen or twenty pounds and then build up from there.

Another important aspect of weight training when just starting out is not to go too fast. Aim  for twenty to thirty minutes of weight training per day. More than that and you may risk serious muscle strain. Too much for too long may have serious consequences. Focus attention of performing the movement as correctly as possible rather than getting through it. Breathe in between sets. Follow the instructions as closely as possible when just starting out. Correct form is extremely important.

Weight training can seem daunting initially. However, as you progress it will get much easier. You body will thank you for it.

Food groups are composed of macronutrients: proteins, carbohydrates and fats and micronutrients: vitamins, minerals and trace elements. To work properly the body needs micronutrients. Thus when hunger occurs, the body actually requires minerals and vitamins. If you start eating products that contain macronutrients, in 2-3 hours the hunger recurs because the body did not get what it wanted.

An effective solution for when you were hungry is platentis Spirulina, an excellent product which fortifies and mineralizes and also has lots of L-tyrosine which is the direct precursor of thyroid hormones. A healthy meal should contain a lean protein source and a source of natural complex carbohydrate. Here is an example of what a healthy meal should contain and that provides you with the energy needed to perform exercises to lose body fat or cardio exercises which are known to help you shed weight:

1. Lean proteins (chicken, fish, egg whites, etc.)
2. Carbohydrates (boiled potato, rice, etc.)
3. Fibrous carbohydrates (salad, green beans, peas, celery, etc.).

We offer an example of menu to be followed when doing cardio exercises for weight loss:

- Meal 1: porridge, egg whites (the only ones together with chicken that have the 8 essential amino acids), 1-2 oranges

- Meal 2: rice, egg whites

- Meal 3: baked potato, chicken, lettuce

- Meal 4: 1 serving of green beans, peas, lettuce and pickles

- Meal 5: tuna, celery.

- Meal 6: chicken, tomato, canned pineapple juice or melon.

Fats that are good at losing weight

Fat should not be neglected. There are certain types of omega fats that the body needs to be able to burn fat reserves. For example, the fat in fish contains omega fat type. Tuna is a good source of protein and omega. In the process of digestion and absorption of fruits and vegetables more calories are consumed than they originally have.
