The Best Way to Lose Fat
The following questions are often asked. How do you lose fat? What is the best way to lose fat? How long does it take to lose fat? I would like to address each of those questions in this article. It might be a little long so you may want to glass a glass of water and read for awhile.
Fat loss is something that is consuming the American public. There is an entire industry dedicated to helping you lose fat or simply lose weight. Every late night television commercial promises you that their product is the latest and greatest to hit the market. The interesting thing is that within a year they will come out with a new product that essentially makes their older product obsolete. They are in it for the business. I can’t blame them. But I hope that you are not chasing around every new idea that comes along. As you read further along in this article you will come to the understanding that burning fat and losing weight is a simple concept. I should say that it is simple to understand but difficult to implement. Well let’s get started.
How Do You Lose Fat?
There are a number of things that you can do to lose fat. At least that is what the marketers want you to believe. You can find any number of supplements that will supposedly help you in your fat loss quest. There are diet pills, fat burners and the like. Supplement companies suck you in since many people are looking for the magic pill. They want to take something that can fix their problems overnight. Do you have 50 pounds to lose? Then take this magic little pill at the mere cost of $70 per month and it will solve all of your problems. The fat will melt away. If you believe that then you are in for a real disappointment. There may be a limited effect that certain supplements will have but they are certainly not worth $20, $30 or even $70 per month. If you want to spend that kind of money you should spend them on some of the programs that I will recommend later on in this article.
There are others who will suggest you use fat creams or take diet suppressants. Neither will work long term. The fat creams probably won’t work at all. They will make you greasy though. Now you will be overweight and greasy. That is a great combination.
There are yet others who will try to sell you every ridiculous ab product in the book. You can find everything from a little ball to put under you back (which will likely cause lower lumbar damage) to belts that you strap around your waist to help melt the fat away. None of these will work. In case you did not know this you cannot target specific areas for fat loss. Fat loss occurs all throughout the body and not in any one particular area. There is not an abdominal exercise that you will do that will ever reduce belly fat. It would be nice but it just doesn’t work that way.
So how do you lose fat? Let me give you a few things that are crucial to understand if you are going to eliminate stomach or fat found anywhere else for that matter. The first thing that you are going to need is a will of steel. Fat loss, as I mentioned earlier, is difficult to implement. It requires us to make sacrifices and we are not necessarily big on sacrifices. We are the generation of deny yourself nothing. Unfortunately, this will lead to you gaining even more weight.
Very simply put you are going to have to reduce your calories in order to get rid of stomach fat. This means eating less in many cases. It definitely means eating more of the right foods (fruits and vegetables) and it will mean denying yourself many of the foods that you like. Many of these same foods have led you to the point where you are overweight. Junk food, sugary drinks, processed foods and the like need to be eliminated from your diet. You can cheat every so often but those cheat days need to be far and few between.
You will need to deny yourself the right to sit on your couch and continue to let you backside and your belly to get larger. You are going to have to exercise. And dare I say that you are going to have to exercise every day. Fat loss is hard work. You will need a will of steel to get to the elusive goal at the end. But if you persevere it will be more than worth it.
You will need to find a sensible diet program if you are going to follow a diet. So many of the diets that exist today and have existed in the past are frankly stupid. They are impossible to follow. If you cannot follow a diet for an extended period of time it is utterly worthless. You will go off the diet and give up all hope. It needs to be simple. It needs to be easy to follow. It needs to be something that you can enjoy eating. Most diets today are none of these things.
What is the best way to lose fat?
If you want to get down to the nitty gritty of how to reduce stomach fat then read on. I am going to recommend a couple of programs for you to look at in this section. They will cost you a little bit of money but nothing along the lines of what you have probably already spent. They are not necessary in order for you to lose weight. You can do so on your own. However, I have found that most people need someone to tell them what to do or they need a program to follow. If they do not have such a thing then they will fail in their fat loss program.
But before I tell you about them let me speak a little to what I believe is the best way to lose fat. The best way to lose fat is through strength training or weight lifting. Now that may seem odd to you. If it does it is probably because someone has always told you that you need to go out and run 5 miles per day in order to burn fat. Not true. Let me explain.
The best way to lose weight is to raise your metabolism. The most effective way to do this is to increase the amount of lean muscle on your body. For every pound of lean muscle that you add to your body you raise your BMR. Muscle is a fat burning machine. What would you choose to try. If you were to add 10 pounds of muscle to your frame you would burn an extra 36000 calories per year. This alone would have burned more than 10 pounds of fat. Now the question is can you lift weights in such a way that not only does it build muscle but will also burn calories as if you were doing high intensity cardio? The answer to the question is yes. There are two programs that will do just this. Not only do they come with a sensible diet plan but the weight training programs associated with them are top notch. You cannot help but lose fat on these programs. The programs are Warp Speed Fat Loss and Lean Hybrid Muscle. You owe it to yourself to check them out. If you are like you spend money on all sorts of things that you don’t need. Maybe it is about time you spent some money on something that will do you some good.
I would also perform high intensity cardio like workouts. I hate running but it you like it then knock yourself out. Do your running in an interval style. Sprint for a time period and then walk again, then sprint again and walk again. Do this for the entire period that you workout. If you are like me and don’t like cardio then use things such as burpees, box jumps, squat jumps, tuck jumps, mountain climbers, etc.
How Long Does It Take To Lose Fat?
Fat loss is a long term project. Now if you follow the programs above you can lose weight quickly and dramatically. However, fat loss is something that should become a lifestyle. You don’t want to lose fat for a month and then go back to eating the way you used to. The weight will only return if this is what you do. It is unreasonable to assume that you can get rid of the fat in a couple of months that has taken you years to gain. If you are intentional and disciplined you can lose it much quicker than you gained it. Despite how quickly you might be able to lose the fat you need to approach fat loss as a lifetime goal. If you reach your ideal bodyweight and composition then you will resort to a maintenance level. You can probably eat a little more then but you will still want to eat healthy so that you don’t return to the weight that you were before you started.
So the best way to lose fat is to eat sensibly and healthy, lift weights and perform high intensity cardio like work. If you can follow a plan like this you will be thrilled with the results.
